Before you can host or join a Zoom meeting, you will need to download and install the Zoom client on your PC. If you are sent an email to join a Zoom meeting, you will be prompted to download the client if you do fro already have it installed.
This guide will show you how to install the client on a Windows-based machine. Go to cca. Once the download finishes, open uers Downloads folder and compputer the installer to launch it. You will be asked if you want to run the program. Click Runand if asked if you want to allow changes to be made, click Yes. When opening the Zoom client for the first time, you'll need to log in with your CCA credentials. The following screen compuher prompt you for your company domain.
Enter " uxers ," then click Continue. A browser tab will open, directing you to CCA's single sign-on page. Enter your CCA username and password. After you enter your log-in credentials and verify the sign-in, Zoom will automatically create your account. Depending on your browser and settings, you may see an additional prompt to Open zoom. I would like to know how to install for all users so that when I update Zoom from my domain profile it install zoom for all users of a computer update the client for that computer for all users that login.
I do not want to use computerr GPO as it is only for 5 computers. Useers appreciate the response on this and although it is helpful it isn't quite what I am looking for. This inquiry is for a handful of shared computers alll our users may insta,l login but once a month with Covid it may be longer now and they already get pretty irritated that they have to wait for the Windows updates to be insall to their user profile, having to update the Zoom client in addition to the user profile is already irritating them as it is.
Any additional suggestions are appreciated. Also, I'd consider a daily restart script on those PCs to process the pending updates without user interaction. My next approach was to figure out the difference between the programs that were available to all users and those that were not. It seemed to me that the programs that are installed in "program files" or "program files x86" are available to everyone, but those installed in the "AppData" of a particular user folder are not. So I've been thinking of copying and pasting the Zoom folder and the Teams folder in the admin "AppData" into either "program files" or "program files x86".
However, I've been wondering if there is a way to set up the computer so that programs downloaded and installed from a browser can be installed into these folders and not in the "AppData" folder. How to make a third party program available to all users in a computer? Or how to fix the shortcuts in the Public Desktop? Is there a way to get the computer to install in program files and not in AppData rather than doing copying and pasting each time?
